Assurance
Check behaviour across code boundaries
Compilation and type checks cover part of a change. Semantic assurance examines the contracts between producers and consumers, including behaviour that types alone do not express.

Make behavioural contracts explicit
Record expectations for units, ordering, errors, authorisation and idempotence. Workload-based cases exercise those expectations on both sides of the interface.

Match verification to the acceptance level
Mechanical checks, semantic contracts and programme acceptance answer different questions. Each level has its own criteria and evidence, so results can be assessed at the appropriate scope.
- Producer and consumer tested together
- Behaviour changes caught behind stable signatures
- Programme closure judged on its own criteria
